It’s a nice upgrade in features over my Kodak Zi6 (and erstwhile Aiptek A-HD+) and an affordable price. It has very good stereo sound, silent operation, and good low light sensitivity (although the colors wash out, as you’d expect from a small single CCD camera). It has excellent zoom, a nice array of manual controls, and supports up to 16 GB SDHC cards. I still like my Kodak Zi6 and will continue to use it for some videos, but the JVC’s extra flexibility will allow me to produce better results when the Kodak’s limitations would get in the way of making a good video.
